Mechanical Engineer – Europe – 3 months+
For an innovative and global client in the Data Centre industry we are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer for a 3 month extendable contract.
You should be based in Spain, France, Italy or Poland ideally and there will be some occasional travel to locations in Europe.
The Role
- Design and development of mechanical systems for new and existing data centres
- Select equipment based on best practices, requirements, local protocols
- Cooling, air handling, HVAC optimisation
- Ensure the mechanical division integrates with other systems seamlessly
- Overview of commissioning for new and upgraded mechanical systems, develop commissioning plans
- Identify any issues and resolve
- Provide support, updates and liaise with stakeholders and different teams
- Over 5 years experience as a Mechanical Engineer
- Over 5 years experience in Data Centre design and construction or equivalent (mission critical environments)
- Experience guiding and executing complex mechanical projects
- Strong understanding of thermal management, power plants
- Commissioning experience
- Proactive and open minded individual with excellent communication skills
- Analytical and problem solving, solution focused individual
