Network Security Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Develop Standards: Create a framework for firewall rules and configurations compliant with industry best practices.
  • Security Assessments: Work on telecom security, architecture assessment, and protocol & application security.
  • Emerging Standards: Deep knowledge of 3GPP SA3 security requirements, GSMA, ITU-T x.805, ISO27001, NIST, and MITRE ATT&CK.
  • Risk Documentation: Prepare documents to confirm the level of risk for applications, systems, and networks.
  • Use-Case Implementation: Design, implement, and test telecom security use-cases for threat detection and remediation.
  • Training and Documentation: Create technical documentation, presentations, and training materials.
  • Gap Analysis: Review current business solutions, analyse gaps, and recommend enhancements.

Technical Competencies:

  • Education: Master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or related field, or 7+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in telecom and network security roles.
  • Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with telecom network interfaces and protocols for 5G, LTE, and legacy environments, with a deep understanding of telecom layers (Transport, Network, RAN, and Core).
