Data Governance Consultant

Mission Scope:
Lead the decommissioning of Collibra and the implementation of Atlan as a data governance solution on Snowflake. Drive the modernization of data governance practices, ensuring seamless technology rollout and onboarding for business users. This mission-critical role is a 12+ month engagement focused on delivering a successful end-to-end Atlan implementation and business adoption.

Requirements:

  • Extensive, hands-on experience with Atlan and Snowflake (including infra-level deployments, account configuration, whitelisting, and network ACLs)
  • Proficiency in dbt and Python
  • Ability to run end-to-end Atlan rollouts and onboard large business user groups
  • Exceptional stakeholder-facing skills with the maturity to deliver on a fact-based work order (not evangelizing decision-making)
  • Must be available to initiate work in early 2027 (exact start pending organizational readiness)

Responsibilities:

  • Decommission existing Collibra platform, ensuring minimal business disruption
  • Lead the implementation and rollout of Atlan on Snowflake, including PoC validation and production deployment
  • Own technical delivery: coordinate with analytics engineers, data engineers, and analysts in a hybrid team setting
  • Draft and execute detailed work orders and milestones in alignment with organizational objectives
  • Provide clear progress updates and actionable deliverables throughout the engagement
