Job Title: SAP EWM Freelance Consultant (S/4HANA)

Location: France (Hybrid / On-site as required)
Contract Type: Freelance / Contract
Duration: Initial 6 months (with extensions)
Engagement: Via Tier 1 Consultancy

Project Overview

We are supporting a major S/4HANA transformation programme for a leading organisation in France. The project is currently entering the testing phase (from May), while the pilot for Phase 2 is being finalised.

This role sits within the SAP EWM workstream, with a strong focus on Radio Frequency (RF) functionality alongside broader EWM capabilities.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP EWM Freelance Consultant to support testing, validation, and ongoing enhancements within an S/4HANA environment. The consultant will play a key role in ensuring successful execution of EWM processes, particularly RF-driven warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phases for SAP EWM
  • Lead and coordinate RF (Radio Frequency) testing and optimisation
  • Validate and troubleshoot end-to-end warehouse processes, including:
    • Inbound & outbound logistics
    • Putaway & picking strategies
    • Internal warehouse movements
  • Collaborate with functional and technical teams to resolve defects and improve system performance
  • Support business users during testing cycles and provide expert guidance
  • Assist in cutover planning and readiness activities
  • Contribute to design adjustments for Phase 2 pilot enhancements
  • Ensure documentation is maintained (test scripts, defect logs, process flows)

Key Skills & Experience

  • Strong hands-on experience with SAP EWM on S/4HANA
  • Proven expertise in RF framework (Radio Frequency) configuration and troubleshooting
  • Solid understanding of core EWM processes:
    • Warehouse structure & master data
    • Picking, packing, and staging
    • Yard management (desirable)
  • Experience working in testing phases (SIT/UAT) of large-scale SAP programmes
  • Ability to analyse and resolve integration issues across SAP modules (e.g., MM, SD, TM)
  • Strong stakeholder communication skills in an international environment
  • Experience working with tier 1 consultancies or large system integrators is highly desirable
