SAP Plant Maintenance Consultant

Contract - UK based (onsite 2 days per week)

Role Summary

The SAP Plant Maintenance Consultant is responsible for configuring and supporting SAP S/4HANA Asset Management (Plant Maintenance) solutions to optimise maintenance operations and asset reliability. The role will work closely with business stakeholders to deliver robust maintenance processes, ensuring effective planning, scheduling, execution, and reporting across the asset lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure and support SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) / SAP S/4HANA Asset Management solutions.
  • Design and optimise maintenance processes, including corrective, preventive, and planned maintenance.
  • Configure maintenance notifications, maintenance orders, task lists, maintenance plans, equipment, and functional locations.
  • Support maintenance planning, scheduling, execution, confirmations, settlement, and technical completion processes.
  • Ensure seamless integration between Plant Maintenance and SAP Materials Management (MM), Finance (FI), Controlling (CO), and Procurement.
  • Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and deliver fit-for-purpose SAP solutions.
  • Support system testing, defect resolution, user acceptance testing, and deployment activities.
  • Provide functional expertise and best practice guidance throughout the project lifecycle.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong hands-on experience with SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) or SAP S/4HANA Asset Management.
  • Proven experience configuring maintenance notifications, maintenance orders, task lists, maintenance plans, equipment, and functional locations.
  • Strong understanding of corrective, preventive, and planned maintenance processes.
  • Experience with maintenance planning, scheduling, execution, confirmations, settlement, and technical completion.
  • Knowledge of integration with SAP Materials Management (MM), Finance (FI), Controlling (CO), and Procurement.
  • Experience working within SAP S/4HANA environments.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
