I am currently working with an exciting Series A business who have created an e-commerce platform that has been built to change the shopping experience for the every day consumer.

Using the power of Gen AI, messaging technologies, predictive and recommendation models, they have built and created a personalized shopping assistant in the form of an AI Agent which goes live in Q1 of 2026.

The team are looking for a Staff Data Engineer, with strong experience in Databricks and Spark, where you will be responsible for scaling out their current Data Infrastructure, architecting the systems to support real time data processing and helping direct the data strategy

This will be a hands on technical role.

Responsibilities

• Design and scale the data infrastructure across cloud platforms
• Build and maintain real time and batch data processing pipelines
• Develop and mange integrations with 3rd party e-commerce platforms
• Partner with Engineering, AI and Product Teams on data solutions

Qualifications

• 5 years experience of software development and data engineering experience with demonstrated ability of own the data infrastructure end to end
• Extensive experience in Spark and Python
• Strong experience in data modeling
• Ideally, looking for someone who has worked in a early-stage, high growth environment previously
• Familiarity with MLOps and integrating ML models into the data workflow
