🇸🇦 Hiring: Senior Platform Engineer – Riyadh (12‑month freelance, on‑site)

We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to join a major technology programme in Riyadh on a 12‑month freelance contract. This role is 100% on‑site, 5 days per week (40 hours).

🔧 Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and automate cloud infrastructure using Terraform across GCP and OCI.
• Operate, maintain, and optimise managed Kubernetes environments (GKE & OKE).
• Manage core platform components: Kong API Gateway, Istio/Service Mesh, Vault, ExternalDNS.
• Implement GitOps workflows with ArgoCD and integrate CI/CD pipelines for seamless delivery.
• Deploy, configure, and support observability tooling: Dynatrace, Prometheus, Alertmanager, Grafana.
• Strengthen platform security through SAST, DAST, RBAC, mTLS, image scanning, and broader DevSecOps controls.
• Lead disaster recovery planning and execution aligned with RTO/RPO targets and SAMA IT Governance.

🎯 Ideal Profile

• Senior‑level experience in cloud platform engineering
• Strong hands‑on background with GCP, OCI, Terraform, and Kubernetes
• Deep understanding of GitOps, service mesh, API gateways, and observability stacks
• Strong security mindset and experience with DevSecOps tooling
• Able to work full‑time on‑site in Riyadh
