SAP DATA MIGRATION LEAD

Next Ventures are currently executing a search for a highly experienced SAP Data Migration Lead. with hands-on proven expertise in Data Migration within large SAP S/4HANA programme with Data held in various legacy systems.

Location -Sweden , Solna . Remote from anywhere in Europe (applicants must be able to work in Europe and hold Eu or UK Passport) or permit for Sweden
Duration 12 months
Start date January 2026.
Rate: market

Mandatory Requirements
 

  • Documented experience in data quality work and master data management in connection with SAP migrations.
  • Understanding of data mapping between legacy systems and SAP.
  • Ability to lead testing and quality assurance of migration data.
  • Experience in leading workshops and anchoring decisions in complex organisations.
  • Strong communication skills and experience collaborating through digital tools (e.g. Teams).
  • Fluent Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
  • Available via Teams and prepared to travel to sites when required.
  • Used to working in a dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders.

Meritorious / Preferred Experience
 

  • Experience from large industrial or technical environments.
  • Previous work as a migration lead or data lead.
  • Experience using AI tools for data migration, data quality control and automated data mapping.

Assignment Background

This is a transformation programme within our clients IT environment. For the implementation of SAP S/4HANA in Sweden, we are looking for a Migration Lead for the project.

The Migration Lead is responsible for leading and coordinating the data migration activities related to the implementation of the new SAP ERP system for Sweden. The consultant will also collaborate closely with the overarching SAP S/4HANA programme. The consultant will work closely with the project manager, change manager and test lead to coordinate communication and activities.

Work Tasks
 

  • Plan and coordinate migration activities with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Lead workshops and establish migration-related decisions with the business and key stakeholders.
  • Ensure that workstreams follow the overall programme plan for migration.
  • Take responsibility for data mapping between old and new system structures.
  • Take responsibility for data quality work and coordinate master data issues with the business.
  • Define entry/exit criteria for migration phases.
  • Document migration decisions, deviations and report status to project management and steering group.
  • Lead testing and quality assurance of migration data before go-live.
  • Support change management and training activities related to the migration.
  • Work closely with the project team, both remotely and through onsite visits.
