SAP PP/IBP Consultant – Greenfield S/4HANA Implementation

Next Ventures are currently executing a search on behalf of one of our key clients for an experienced SAP PP/IBP Consultant to join a major Greenfield S/4HANA implementation program for a global client in the manufacturing sector. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, configuring, and deploying integrated planning and production processes in alignment with business needs and industry best practices.

Location: Belgium (on site 3 days per week) Liege.
Start Date: ASAP / Flexible/ October ideally.
Duration: 12 months (with extension option)
Engagement: Contract / Freelance

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of SAP Production Planning (PP) and Integrated Business Planning (IBP) solutions.
  • Conduct workshops with business stakeholders to gather and validate requirements for production planning, supply chain, and demand forecasting.
  • Define and implement end-to-end processes for:
    • Demand Planning
    • Supply Planning
    • Inventory Optimisation
    • Production Planning & Detailed Scheduling
  • Configure master data elements including BOMs, routings, work centers, and planning objects.
  • Ensure integration with other SAP modules (SD, MM, EWM, APO replacement, FI/CO).
  • Provide solution expertise during testing cycles (SIT, UAT), cutover, and hypercare phases.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data consistency, process harmonisation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Act as subject matter expert for PP/IBP in the S/4HANA environment.
  • Provide knowledge transfer and training to internal teams.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years SAP experience with at least 2–3 full lifecycle implementations of SAP IBP.
  • Hands-on experience in Greenfield S/4HANA projects.
  • Strong expertise in production planning (discrete, process, and/or repetitive manufacturing).
  • Proven IBP implementation knowledge (Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Control Tower).
  • Strong integration experience with SAP MM, SD, EWM, APO, and Finance.
  • Ability to run workshops, perform fit-gap analysis, and design scalable solutions.
  • Experience in regulated industries (e.g., life sciences, consumer goods, manufacturing) is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent in English (additional European languages are an advantage).

Preferred Qualifications

  • SAP S/4HANA PP or IBP certification.
  • Knowledge of Agile/SAFe methodologies.
  • Exposure to advanced planning tools (PP/DS, APO migration to IBP).
  • Familiarity with cloud-based IBP deployment.
