SAP Solutions Architect – Consumer Sector

Role Overview

 

We are seeking an experienced SAP Solutions Architect to join a growing technology and transformation team. This role is focused on designing, selling, and delivering S/4HANA-enabled transformation programmes for leading Consumer sector clients.

 

You will play a key role in shaping winning propositions, supporting major bids, and architecting solutions that deliver measurable business impact. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will also ensure successful delivery by guiding programme teams, de-risking transitions into delivery, and maintaining strong client and partner relationships.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect SAP solutions for Consumer sector opportunities, ensuring integration across functional areas.
  • Support the sale of strategically important SAP deals by leading bids, ITT responses, and presentations.
  • Act as a quality assurance lead for proposals and client deliverables.
  • Join initial delivery teams to de-risk transitions and set up programmes for success.
  • Build and maintain strong industry and partner relationships.
  • Lead design workshops, mobilise bid and project teams, and communicate clear solutions.
  • Contribute to the development of new propositions, services, and technologies where SAP intersects with Consumer.
  • Coach and develop less experienced team members to build capability across the practice.

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with proven gravitas in senior client settings.
  • Outcome-oriented with a practical approach to programme planning and execution.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working under tight deadlines.
  • Inquisitive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and new business thinking.

 

Role-Specific Experience

  • Proven track record as a Solution Architect on S/4HANA or wider SAP solution suite programmes in complex environments.
  • Deep functional knowledge in Consumer sector processes (e.g., finance, supply chain) and S/4HANA solutions.
  • Broad integration knowledge across S/4HANA and familiarity with complementary SAP products (e.g., SuccessFactors, Ariba, IBP, BTP).
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders in demanding client environments.
  • Skilled in leading workshops, developing benefits cases, phasing strategies, and resource plans.
  • Exposure to one or more of the following industries: Consumer Products, Retail, Foodservice, Distribution, Automotive.
