Project Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP Transportation Management (TM) Team Lead to join a major global transformation programme for a leading life sciences customer within the pharma/medtech sector.

This is a long-term greenfield SAP TM implementation programme replacing existing Excel-based and legacy transportation processes, with a global template rollout planned across multiple regions over an estimated 5-year deployment roadmap.

The role offers the opportunity to lead a strategic SAP TM workstream within a high-profile international transformation initiative.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the SAP TM workstream across a global transformation programme
  • Drive greenfield SAP TM implementation activities end-to-end
  • Coordinate offshore and onsite delivery teams
  • Manage key business and technical stakeholders across international teams
  • Support global template design, governance, and rollout activities
  • Oversee Advanced SAP TM functionality including carrier integrations and N4L integration scenarios
  • Contribute to project planning, delivery management, and programme coordination
  • Ensure successful delivery within a complex regulated environment

Required Experience

  • Strong SAP Transportation Management (TM) experience including Advanced TM
  • Proven SAP implementation leadership experience on large-scale global programmes
  • Strong experience coordinating offshore and onsite teams
  • Solid project management and stakeholder communication skills
  • Experience with carrier integrations and N4L integrations
  • Strong end-to-end SAP delivery background
  • English speaking is essential

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working within GxP-regulated environments (pharma, life sciences, medtech)
  • German language skills are a strong advantage
  • Previous experience supporting global template rollout programmes
  • Senior consulting or programme leadership background

Additional Information

  • Initial 12-month freelance contract with expected long-term extensions
  • Programme roadmap expected to run for approximately 5 years globally
  • Travel required onsite to Hamburg 3 days per week
  • Travel expenses will be covered
  • The client is looking for a senior, hands-on leader capable of managing both technical delivery and stakeholder engagement in a complex international environment
