Senior Software Engineer

Senior Software Engineer – Python/FastAPI/Cloud
Location: Manhattan, NY (On-site 4 days/week)

Role Overview

In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain high-performance applications and APIs that power a real estate financing platform. You will collaborate closely with product managers, analysts, and fellow engineers to deliver robust, scalable, and secure solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect, develop, and maintain backend services using Python and FastAPI
  • Design and implement cloud-based solutions (AWS, Azure, or GCP) with scalability and security in mind
  • Optimize application performance and ensure high availability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver high-quality solutions on time
  • Implement automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and best development practices
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team-wide knowledge sharing
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and propose improvements to the tech stack

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • Strong proficiency in Python with production-level FastAPI development experience
  • Proven track record building and deploying applications in a cloud environment (AWS preferred)
  • Solid understanding of RESTful API design, microservices architecture, and distributed systems
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
  • Proficiency with Git, CI/CD tools, and automated testing frameworks
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in financial services, real estate, or related industries
  • Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Familiarity with data pipelines and ETL processes
  • Familiarity with Typescript and React

Work Environment
