We’re looking for an experienced VMware Automation Engineer to join a high‑impact infrastructure transformation project in Bulgaria. This mission is ideal for someone who thrives in virtualisation, automation, and modern cloud‑ready environments, and enjoys working with global engineering teams.

🔧 Mission Overview

You will play a key role in designing, automating, and optimising VMware‑based infrastructure. Working closely with architecture, cloud, and operations teams, you’ll help build scalable, automated, and resilient virtual environments that support business‑critical workloads.

This is a hands‑on engineering role with strong emphasis on automation, orchestration, and infrastructure‑as‑code.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and automate VMware vSphere and vRealize environments

• Develop and maintain automation workflows using tools such as vRealize Automation (vRA), vRealize Orchestrator (vRO), PowerCLI, or Ansible

• Implement infrastructure‑as‑code practices to streamline provisioning and lifecycle management

• Optimise virtual infrastructure performance, capacity, and reliability

• Troubleshoot complex issues across VMware, storage, networking, and automation layers

• Collaborate with global engineering teams on architecture, design, and best practices

• Document automation processes, runbooks, and operational procedures

• Support migration, upgrade, and modernisation initiatives

• Ensure compliance with security, governance, and operational standards

🎓 Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands‑on experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter

• Solid background in vRealize Automation (vRA) and/or vRealize Orchestrator (vRO)

• Proficiency in PowerShell / PowerCLI, Python, or similar scripting languages

• Experience with automation frameworks (Ansible, Terraform, or similar)

• Understanding of virtual networking, storage, and cloud integrations

• Ability to design and implement end‑to‑end automation pipelines

• Strong troubleshooting and performance optimisation skills

• Experience in enterprise‑scale environments

• Excellent communication and documentation abilities

⭐ Nice‑to‑Have

• Exposure to hybrid cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP)

• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Tanzu, or container platforms

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines

• Certifications such as VCP, VCAP, or VCIX
