Overview

We are currently supporting a Tier 1 consultancy on a key transformation programme for a major energy sector end client in France. They are looking for an experienced SAP PM Consultant to join on an initial 6-month freelance contract to support a large-scale S/4HANA implementation project.
This is a hybrid role, requiring occasional on-site presence in France alongside remote working flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) functional activities across the project lifecycle
  • Facilitate and run business process design workshops with key stakeholders
  • Gather business requirements and translate them into functional specifications
  • Configure SAP PM solutions aligned to business needs
  • Work closely with technical teams, business users, and third-party stakeholders
  • Ensure seamless integration between SAP PM, MM (Materials Management), and EWM (Extended Warehouse Management) modules
  • Support testing phases including SIT, UAT, and defect resolution
  • Assist with data migration, cutover planning, and go-live preparation
  • Provide post-go-live support where required
  • Drive process improvements and best practice recommendations within maintenance operations

Required Experience

  • Strong hands-on experience as an SAP PM Consultant
  • Proven experience integrating SAP PM with SAP MM and SAP EWM
  • Experience leading and completing design workshops with business stakeholders
  • Must have completed at least one full end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementation project
  • Strong configuration expertise within SAP PM
  • Experience working within large-scale transformation programmes
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience working in the energy/utilities sector is highly desirable
