Job Title: SAP SD Lead (S/4HANA Private Cloud – Greenfield Programme)
Location: Midlands UK (Hybrid – on-site presence required)
Contract Duration: 12 months
Start Date: 11th May 2026

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP SD Lead to play a critical role in a greenfield S/4HANA Private Cloud implementation. This is a high-impact position responsible for leading the design, build, and deployment of the Sales & Distribution (SD) workstream, ensuring alignment with business objectives and best practices.

You will work closely with senior stakeholders, system integrators, and cross-functional teams to deliver a modern, scalable order-to-cash solution that supports future growth and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end SAP SD workstream within a greenfield S/4HANA Private Cloud programme.
  • Define and drive the SD solution design, including:
    • Order Management
    • Pricing & Condition Technique
    • Billing & Invoicing
    • Shipping & Delivery Processing
    • Credit Management (integration with Finance)
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and validate requirements, translating them into functional specifications.
  • Ensure alignment with S/4HANA best practices and standardisation principles.
  • Oversee system configuration, testing (SIT/UAT), and data migration activities for SD.
  • Manage and coordinate third-party system integrators and offshore teams.
  • Lead workshops, design sessions, and governance forums.
  • Work closely with other functional leads (e.g., Finance, MM, WM/EWM) to ensure seamless end-to-end process integration.
  • Support cutover planning, go-live activities, and early life support.
  • Identify risks, issues, and dependencies within the SD workstream and drive mitigation strategies.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to functional consultants and junior team members.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as an SAP SD Lead on at least one full-cycle S/4HANA implementation (greenfield preferred).
  • Strong expertise across SAP SD processes and configuration.
  • Experience with S/4HANA Private Cloud deployments.
  • Deep understanding of end-to-end Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes.
  • Strong knowledge of pricing, billing, and logistics execution within SAP.
  • Experience integrating SD with Finance FI, MM, and EWM.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience working with system integrators and managing delivery partners.
  • Knowledge of data migration tools and methodologies (e.g., Migration Cockpit).
  • Experience in UK-based projects is desirable.
