Technical Lead/Azure Solution Architect - 12 months+ 
North Brabant Netherlands and Remote (3 days in office)
Start: ASAP
Duration: 12-24 months+

For a leading global large enterprise organisation we are looking for a Technical Lead/Azure Architect for a migration program with an initial 12 month contract but a 2 year initial scope of works. This role requires strategic insight, stakeholder engagement, and extensive Microsoft Azure expertise to drive secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical lead, providing guidance on cloud strategy, architecture, and transformation.
  • Develop and implement enterprise-grade Azure landing zones and cloud-native solutions.
  • Convert complex business and technical needs into secure, compliant cloud architectures.
  • Partner with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to integrate cloud solutions into business and IT strategies.
  • Proactively identify and execute platform enhancements, mentor distributed teams, and manage backlog delivery.
  • Collaborate with senior IT leaders (e.g., CIO/CTO) on cloud governance and strategy.

Skills & Experience

  • Over 15 years of experience in engineering, architecture, and cloud consulting.
  • Deep expertise in Azure platform design, governance, automation, IaC (Terraform, Bicep), CI/CD, DevOps, and security.
  • Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, ArchiMate).
  • Proficient in leading multi-stakeholder initiatives, managing product backlogs, and guiding distributed teams.

Desirable

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
  • Experience in large-scale enterprises (e.g., manufacturing, financial services).
  • Familiarity with sovereign cloud and compliance-driven environments.
  • Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus)
